BLACKALL ASSOCIATES CELEBRATING 25th ANNIVERSARY

August 2010:  Blackall Associates Incorporated/ Masterpiece Dolls of Providence, Rhode Island is proud to announce its 25th Anniversary Celebration (1985-2010). Blackall created her first line of dolls in 1978 at the Gorham Company. In 1985 Blackall left Gorham as the Director of Marketing for the Gift Division to start her own company. Over the last 25 years Blackall has been involved in the development of porcelain, resin, vinyl and silicone/ vinyl dolls of all sizes and styles. Most notably the dolls appeared on Home Shopping Network (1994-2004) and on Home Shopping Europe (2001-2010).
Under the brand name of Masterpiece Dolls, Blackall Associates currently introduces new dolls every three months at www.masterpiecedolls.com for distribution through retailers in both the US and Europe. These dolls are sculpted by world renowned doll artists such as Monika Levenig, Monika Peter-Leicht, Doris Stannat, Rosemarie Mueller, Susan Lippl and Gerlinde Feser. These artists create dolls with life like expressions from 12” to 46” in size. Collectors eagerly await each quarterly introduction of new dolls.
In celebration of the 25th Anniversary, Monika Levenig has sculpted, Trinity, a very special 40” vinyl doll with 11 joints for ease in posing. Trinity is the only doll that will have the special Anniversary decal logo. She is offered in a Limited Edition of 350 pieces. Trinity will be introduced August 2 on the Masterpiece Dolls web site.
Masterpiece Dolls has conducted a “Feel the Love” contest where collectors express how they “Feel the Love” for Masterpiecedolls to help celebrate the Anniversary. The entries are posted at masterpiecedolls.com and were judged by five retailers. The winner is Terry Bauermeister. Her winning entry sums up many of the feelings that collectors have for their Masterpiece Dolls.

Asian, African, pale or tan,
Of ALL the colors I’m a fan
Reminders that we ALL are one,
Along with hours of cuddly fun!
Each doll, a Master Piece indeed,
With every detail I could need,
The sparkling eyes and silky hair,
The sweet expressions…they’re ALL there!
Their bodies I just love to dress
Their cheeks then beg a sweet caress.
Their “company” when I feel lonely,
Makes me think they’re not dolls only!
The artists’ inspiration must come from up above,
‘Cause every time I hold one, I can truly feel the love!
